May Happenings (Our May Events)
Hi friends,
We’re kicking off this month with some exciting events that are taking place right here at our locations! No matter your age or background, we want to invite you to get involved in at least one of these amazing events.
Our purpose behind every event we host, is to create a space of unity and accountability. We believe in community and want everyone to understand they are never alone.
To kick things off, Darrion Lewis, Community Director of our Rose location, is hosting his “Be You” Brickhead Conference. This Conference is centered around community, culture, identity and more. This life-changing event is completely FREE and will have sessions for both women and men.

Next up, every Saturday morning at 10 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. our MEN are going to be playing basketball. This time will not only be a time of playing ball, but fellowship or what we like to call “fellah-ship". If you’re looking for community and to be around other adult men, join us at our Rose location at 1949 North Washington Avenue, Dallas, TX 75204 - We can’t wait to see you there!
Camp Firewalker is BACK ON! What is Camp Firewalker you ask? Camp Firewalker is time that we get to spend outdoors learning about camping skills. But the best part is that we get to connect with our young men. We have one on one time between our adults and kids where we teach them all about camping skills. Camp Firewalker will happen on May 18th-May 19th. This event is open to ALL men. You can learn more about Camp Firewalker by visiting campfirewalker.org
Here’s a review from last year’s camping trip:
“So many skills can be learned outdoors! Camping skills have deeper lessons behind them such as determination and teamwork. We love that our students get to learn these valuable lessons!”
And last but not least is, we are hosting our Women’s Volleyball Fellowship at The Rose! On Friday May 10th we will be hosting a time of fellowship to ALL women. The address to our Rose location is: 1949 North Washington Avenue, Dallas, TX 75204
